World War 2 – Summary

The aim of the World War 2 pages in this website is to:

Create a ‘Roll of Honour’ of  all the people with the Audley & Aidley surnames who were combatants in World War 2
and
Provide a Tag Number to link the individual combatant with their the family history detailed on the ‘Family Tree’ pages of this website.

Included in this ‘Roll of Honour are a  number of  individuals who did not use the Audley surname but have the name Audley as one of their  forenames

It has not been possible to identify all the Audley WW2 combatants as all WW2 Service Records remain with the Ministry of  Defence and the current process to transfer these records to ‘The National Archives will take until 2027.  If you have any additional information about these people and are willing to share that information with us please contact us through the website contact page.
