Audley Families A, AA, AB, AC, AD, AH,AK & AW
In this branch of the Audley Family the surname was Allday and changed to Audley, when 4 brothers moved from Shotwick on the Welsh/England boarder to the city of Liverpool, Each of the families AA to AD is the Family History of one of those brothers
Family A – Details the family history of the family living in Hawarden, Flintshire, Wales and Shotwick Cheshire, England prior to them moving to Liverpool, England. (1734 to 1816)
Family AA – The descendants of Samuel Allday/Audley (1775 to 1840). Branches of this tree emigrated to Canada, & USA.
Family AB – The descendants of John Allday/Audley (1765 to 1816). Branches of the family emigrated to Australia, Canada, New Zealand & USA.
Family AC – The descendants of William Allday/Audley (1777 to 1813). Branches of the family emigrated to Australia, Canada, & USA.
Family AD – The descendants of Charles Allday/Audley (1772 to 1825). This is a short family tree and the family remained in Liverpool and became extinct in 1883.
Family AH – Audley Family originally of Liverpool, England. The earliest member of this family is {AH1} John Winstanley alias Audley. His parents were John and Ann Winstanley formerly Hughes. Ann the mother of {AH1} subsequently married {AB20} William Audley. Whilst {AH1} is strictly not an Audley he and his family regularly used the Audley surname before changing it back to Winstanley.
Family AK –  This file consists two Families. They are recorded in as single file because of the common forename ‘Peter’ and they both spent time in Liverpool. Family2 is in someway related to Audley Family ‘AB’, according to the 1851 census {AK2} Peter Audley was living at the same address as {AB31} George Audley in Portsea Hampshire
Family AW – ‘Audley Family AW’ this file consists of a single person who was born George William Woodhead in 1865 in Sheffield he died as George Audley in 1951 in Liverpool. The earliest date he is recorded as George Audley is on his marriage certificate dated 25th December 1906. In the 1891 & 1901 censuses he is recorded as George Woodhead a lodger/ boarder in both cases the head of the household was {AA19} Mary Audley. We have no evidence as to why he change his surname.

Family B – Audley of Birmingham. This Audley Family file contains information about 15 families all of which resided in Birmingham, England. The first family in this file is that family described in Chapter 8 of Audley Pedigrees ‘Audley of Alrewas & Birmingham’ One branch of this family emigrated to the USA settling in Boston, Hampden & Westfield in Massachusetts and New York. (1677 to current)
Family CP – Audley Family of Patrington in Holderness, East Riding of Yorkshire. This small Audley Family is based on Chapter 7 of Audley Pedigrees
Family E – Audley Family originally of Waterford & Wexford, Ireland &Â Liverpool. Branches of the Family emigrates to Australia, Canada, New Zealand & USA. (1811 to current)
Family F – Audley Family originally of Inistioge & The Rower, County Kilkenny Ireland, and who emigrated to; Liverpool & Staffordshire, England, New Haven, Connecticut: St Paul, Minnesota: Chicago, Illinois: & Seattle Washington, USA. (1738 to current)
Family G – Audley family of Ireland & Liverpool . All the people in this family were born in the Liverpool area with the exception of Alexander Audley and his wife Mary Monaghan who were both born in Ireland. Alexander and Mary were married in 1854 in Liverpool. It is assumed that they emigrated from Ireland to England after 1851 and before 1854. There is no evidence as to from what part of Ireland they came (1838 to 2004)

This group of Audley Family Files details the Family History of those Families with a hyphenated Audley surname.
Family HC – The Audley- Charles Family. The first member of this family who had the both the names Audley and Charles is {HC5} Henry Edward Audley-Charles (1871 – 1927). The Charles in his name was the surname of his father. The Audley in his name is the maiden name of one of {HC5}’s Great Great Grandmothers. (1786 to current)

Family IA – Audley Family of County Antrim, Ireland (includes Belfast) (1858 to 1952)
Family ID – Audley Family of County Down Ireland. This small family tree of 6 people covering 3 generations with death dates of  1634 &1643.  This family lived in Audley’s Castle, Audleystown, County Down Ireland.
Family IF – Audley Family of County Fermanagh, Ireland (1843 to 1963)
Family IR – Audley Family IR of County Roscommon, Ireland and New York State USA. The earliest members of this family originated in County Roscommon, Ireland. From 1851 onward they emigrated to America living mainly in New York State
Family IU – Audley Family IU of County Dublin, Ireland (1830 to 1950)

The file below contains a number of references to people with the Audley surname who were born, married, died or lived in Lancashire and/or Cheshire, England that have not, as yet, been connected to one of the other Audley families.
Family LE – Audley Family of Leicestershire (pre 1800)
Family M – This family history is of the Audley Families that originated in County Galway Ireland. Branches of this family emigrated to Pennsylvania USA, settling in Boston and New York City. Another branch moved, via Cheshire, to the Fylde area of Lancashire. (1813 to current)

Family N – The Audley family of Norfolk. The family history of  2 Audley families in the County of Norfolk centring on Great Yarmouth. One commences around 1650 and the other 1750. A branch of this family emigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal, Strathcona and Vancouver.
Family NA – This Audley Family is based in the North of Norfolk around Kings Lynn and the surrounding parishes. (1543 to 1795)

Family P – This is a small family of 4 individuals ( 3 generations) that lived in Winsford, Over & Over Peover in Cheshire (1784 to 1903)
Family QB – Audley Family originally of Bedfordshire, England. The earliest members of this family were born at Thurleigh in Bedfordshire, Moving to Tempsford and Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. One branch of the family moved via London to Westmoreland to Clitheroe (then in Yorkshire), Skipton and Barnoldswick. A second branch moved to Northamptonshire (Islip; Fancott; Far Cotton Wellingborough and Northampton.) (1785 to 1957)
Family QE – Audley Family originally of Essex, England. Originating in Great Wakering Essex, England. The family lived mainly in Chadwell St Mary and Orsett in Essex, England. Other places this family lived was Thurrock & Chelmsford in Essex and in London. Part of the family emigrated to Ontario, Canada (1786 to current)
Family QF – Audley Family of Sible Hedingham, Essex, England (1733 to 1800)
Family QG – Audley Family of Great Gransden, Huntingdonshire and Houghton Conquest Bedfordshire, England (1531 to 1700)
Family QH – Â Audley Family originally of Huntingdonshire, England. The earliest members of this family lived in Buckden , Huntingdonshire, England. Other places they lived in include St Neots, Diddington in Huntingdonshire; London; Chiswick in Middlesex, England. Part of the family moved to Halfax , Mirfield, Dewsbury and Eland in Yorkshire, England. A second part of the family moved to Congleton in Cheshire, England. A third part of the family moved to Biggleswade in Bedfordshire. (1810 to current)
Family QR – Audley Family of Roxton, Bedfordshire and Huntingdon, England. This branch of the Audley Family lived in Roxton, Bedfordshire and Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England and consists of 29 individuals who lived between 1630 and 1750.
Family R – Aidley/Audley of Capesthorne, Siddington & Kingsley Cheshire, Llangollen Wales, Widnes Lancashire & Ilkley Yorkshire. This file contains information about 136 people and their spouses in 8 separate families. The families detailed in the file below are the various branches of the Audley family (commencing 1750) that appear to have spent most of their time in Cheshire. In compiling the information for this file it has become clear that the surnames Audley, Adley and Aidley became in interchangeable starting as Audley and developing through Adley and into Aidley.

Family SA – This is a small family of 4 individuals That Lived in Hackney and Islington, London and are thought to have originated in Leyton or Leytonstone, Essex. (1819 to 1889)
Family SB – This is a small family of 7 individuals that primarily lived in the East End of London, who in the 1851 census were recorded in Brighton, Sussex and Torquay, Devon (1781 to 1905)
Family SC – This is a small family of 2 generations. The earliest known person in this Family had the surname Lemoigne; his son Henri Lemoigne appears to have changed his name to Henry P Audley and whilst his daughter retained the Audley Surname one of his sons changed his name from Paul Henry Audley to Paul Nelson. The family lived in London, Texas, USA; and New York, USA. (1883 – 20210)
Family SS –  ‘Audley Family of St Dunstan’s in the East and Stepney. This Audley Family consists of 4 small families who were baptised, married, and were buried in the churches of; St Dunstan’s in the East Church and St Dunstan’s and All Saints Church Stepney
